We recently took a trip to the newly revamped Casa Bonita with the family, and let me tell you—it’s better than ever. If you grew up in Colorado, you probably have memories of the cliff divers, quirky characters, and maybe a love-hate relationship with the cafeteria-style food. Well, times have changed! Now, you get full table service, and the food has had a serious upgrade. Plus, the margaritas? No more fake sugary mixes—they’re the real deal. For a little history, Casa Bonita first opened its doors in 1974 and quickly became a beloved Colorado institution. With its unique blend of Mexican-themed entertainment—complete with cliff divers, mariachi bands, and Black Bart’s Cave—it earned a place in local culture. In fact, it’s so iconic, it was even featured in an episode of South Park. But for years, the food wasn’t the main attraction (to put it kindly). Now, under new ownership and after a much-needed renovation, Casa Bonita is back—and it’s more than just a nostalgia trip. We had an absolute blast with the grandkids, from getting our Tara cards read to playing in the arcade. Casa Bonita has transformed into a true destination for food, fun, and family.
