I wanted to share a serious experience we had with Loki and Farmland Traditions Chicken Jerky treats, hoping it might help other dog owners. The bag was about half empty, and the treats seemed to be drying out. One day, Loki stopped eating altogether, and soon after, he vomited while at the office. We didn’t think much of it until the next day when I was picking up after him and discovered a jagged piece of jerky about an inch and a half long in his poop. It was sharp and rough—something that could have easily caused severe damage to his digestive tract. I can’t even imagine how much pain he went through trying to swallow and pass it. It was a scary moment, realizing how close we came to facing an emergency situation. A punctured intestine or worse was definitely on the table. That’s why we’re no longer recommending these treats. They’re "Not Loki Approved," and we’re on the lookout for gentler, safer options for our furry buddy.
